Vimla Maharaj will lead the weekend workshop at the Yoga Community starting on Friday, November 20 until Sunday, November 22. Vimla a highly skilled and knowledgeable yoga practitioner will design the workshop based on student ability and will provide individualized instructions.
About Vimla Maharaj
She grew up in Trinidad, West Indies and brought the dynamic quality of her roots to her classes, sharing her teachings with clarity and inspiration. Her 25 years experience as a dentist enhances her compassion and deep sense of caring for everyone and their individual needs. A spiritually vibrant person, Vimla encourages her student to use their bodies to connect with their inner being.
Vimla started her first yoga in 1993, just recently she studied with Geeta Iyegar in India. Her twin sister and their 84 year old parents is battling with some medical challenges and it led Vimla to be a dedicated yoga practitioner.
On Friday, November 20 session will be from at 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening and it will be a quiet practice of restorative poses intended to turn our gaze inward. Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22 workshop will start at 9:00 am until 12:00 pm will be Asana practice with the time to explore each pose in more intensity than a regular class. And on Sunday, November 22 afternoon will be focused on Pranayama (art of breathing). The weekend workshop will be held at the Yoga community located at 4415 W. Clearwater Avenue Kennewick, Washington.
Tickets price is $195 for the entire weekend, $45 for each 2 hours session and $70 for each 3 hours session.
