Fishing Camp: Learn More About the Life Cycle of the Fishes

The Fishing Camp is a fun summer camp for kids ages 8 to 12. The activity will feature visiting a fish hatchery and dam. The participants will be taught the skills needed to catch a fish. The catch-and-release technique will be discussed, as well as other effective fishing tricks.

About Senator Max E. Benitz, Sr.
Senator Benitz served as a Washington state legislator for twenty-one years including three terms as a representative and four terms as a senator. He was greatly respected and appreciated by his constituents, whether Republicans or Democrats.

His book, a biography, has been twenty years in the making. It was his daughter Eileen Benitz Wagner and Dr. Michele Gerber who chronicled the senator's life.

The Reach: Ice Age Floods Bus Tour Of The Mid Columbia Richland, WashingtonOn Saturday, September 5 join geologist/author Bruce Bjornstad for the Ice Age Floods Bus Tour of The Mid Columbia, an all-day bus tour of Ice Age flood. 

More about the Event
The Ice Age Floods Bus Tour of The Mid Columbia includes a tour of the region's geology and its influence on the "terroir" of the local wine industry. Registration fee is $75.00.

The 2015 REACH Tours will be escorted by a guide. Registered participants are requested to come 15 minutes early so the tour can depart on time. In addition, if you have any special diet requirement please inform the organizers when you sign up for the tour.
