 Washington State Parks Fee Free Day In Pasco, WashingtonFrom January 18 and 19, the Washington State Parks will be having a free park day in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The “free days” and the Discover Pass is not required to visit a state park including Sacajawea State Park in Pasco. Please be advised that free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities).

Sweater In The Park, Various Parks In Richland, WashingtonTry to visit different parks in Richland, Washington on Saturday, October 4 for their "Sweater Weather: Fashion for the Urban Forest" event. This is the perfect time to start gearing up for a new rivershore art project that concludes in the fall with a month long exhibit.

About the "Sweater Weather: Fashion for the Urban Forest"
The event is a pubic project sponsored by Richland Parks and Recreation to produce colorful art pieces along the rivershore and boost the popularity of Richland parks as well as the walkability of the area.

J & S Dreamland Express Train Rides At Columbia Park Kennewick WashingtonBeginning September 7 until September 28, the J & S Dreamland Express train rides will be recurring every Saturday and Sunday at Columbia Park Fishing Pond area located in 2700 Columbia Park Trail Kennewick, Washington from 1:00 until 5:00 in the afternoon.

Details of the J & S Dreamland Express Train Rides
Admission fee is only $.50 for children and $1.00 for adults for the 15 minute ride through the east end of Columbia Park. The Dreamland Express is owned and operated by the Kiwanis Club of the Horse Heaven Hills. The train does not operate on a normal schedule on the boat racing weekend and may operate on a limited basis on some other weekends (such as 4th of July when it is a weekend).

Movies in the Park by Smoovies in Richland Washington
If you are looking for some fun, free things to do with the kids this Summer check out Smoovies’ Free Outdoor Movie in the Park. On selected Fridays and Saturdays at John Dam Plaza and Columbia Park, there will be free family friendly movies. The evening begins at about 7:00 with a performance by a local, pre selected, family friendly entertainer and kids can enjoy a bounce house and a sing and dance time with TJ the Tiger; the movie will begin at sundown. There will be a concession stand with hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, and more. Bring the whole family for an evening of fun and entertainment!
