Details of the movie
The movie is directed by Yimou Zhang in 2002. Top-billed by Jet Li it is rated PG-13 for stylized martial arts violence and a scene of sensuality. It was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at both 2003 Golden Globe Awards and Academy Awards among many other nominations. The film was the Winner of the 2004 Toronto Film Cristics Association Award for Best Foreign Language Film and the 2004 Seattle Film Critics Award for Best Cinematography.
