Blue Mountain Wildlife is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose mission is to provide help and take care of orphaned, sick, or injured wildlife. Their focus is on birds of prey, providing these creatures the necessary treatment and care to bring them back to their natural habitat.

Their goals include training volunteers to become experts in rehabilitation techniques, helping enhance awareness and appreciation of wildlife through public education, and providing a facility where concerned people can bring wildlife that need care.

Smash for Cash Demolition Derby at TRAC Center in PascoGet ready for some smashing fun at the Smash for Cash Demolition Derby happening this weekend at the TRAC Center.

This event, set for April 19th, will feature two demolition derbies in one night, Power Wheels derby for the kids, and Jump You Junk Competition worth $500 cash. Door opens at 6PM and the event starts at 7PM. Incidentally, this event is a charity benefit for Camp Patriot. Admission prices are as follows:

  • Reserved Seating – $17 in advance; $19 on the day of the event

Tomorrow, August 28, head on out to Howard Amon Park in Richland Washington for the Bark for Life Rally. For several years now the nationally recognized Relay for Life event has begun a Bark for Life Rally. This rally is a place where dogs and their owners can participate together with the purpose of raising money to support the American Cancer Society. This year it has been decided to throw a rally here in Richland. There will be many Demonstrations and Vendors available at the rally to help raise money.
