The East Benton Historical Society will be hosting Working Hypothesis for the Coyote Canyon Mammoth Site on January 21, 2016. Research shows that the Ice Age flood which occurred about 17,500 years ago, swept away the Columbian Mammoth and caused its death. On Lake Lewis' shoreline, the Columbian Mammoth was decomposed.
