Head out to the TRAC in Pasco Washington on April 9 for the Smash for Cash Demolition Derby. The Smash for Cash will feature a Charity Demo, Tuff Truck, 80s Class, Jump Your Junk, and a Big Car Demolition Derby. You don’t want to miss out on any of this great action!

Charity Demo: The winner will have $1,200 or more donated on their behalf to one of the local Tri Cities military charities (Camp Patriot, US Troop Care Package, ACES or Time of Remembrance).

‘Tis the season to be giving! This afternoon, December 4 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, Historic Downtown Kennewick will be holding Warm Hands, Warm Heart. At 3:00pm Santa will make a grand entrance into Flag Plaza in Kennewick Washington, Santa will be riding in style as he enters in on a vintage fire truck. After his grand entrance, Santa will be available for pictures with a small donation to Pet over Population. Throughout the afternoon several groups and individuals will provide music, they are: Miss Tri Cities, Finley 8th grade girls, and The Merrie Greenwood Players.

Merchants and vendors in historic downtown Kennewick will accept donations of hats and mittens throughout the afternoon, these donations will be given to Safe Harbor Crisis Nursery. Stores

On December 14 come out to Kennewick High School for the 5th Annual Kennewick Police Officers vs. Kennewick Firefighters Charity Basketball Event, tip off will take place at 7:00pm. The cost of admission into the game is simply a donation, but you may want to bring some extra cash for your chance to win the raffle. Thanks to Jack Didley’s, those who enter the raffle will have a chance to win a 3 day, 2 night trip with airfare to Mexico, a flat screen TV, and many other prizes! Ski season is just around the corner and with that comes the annual ski and snowboard swaps. One of our local ski resorts, White Pass Ski Resort, is getting close to opening the slopes for the weekend, but not before the Volunteer White Pass Ski Patrol holds their annual White Pass Ski & Snowboard Swap in Yakima Washington. This annual ski swap, which has been going on for over 40 years now, features new and used snowboards, shaped skis, traditional skis, and a variety of new and used clothing. The ski swap will take place on Saturday, November 6 from 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday, November 7 from 10:00am-3:00pm at the Yakima Fairgrounds.
