About Run for Ribbons
The 6th Annual Run for Ribbons is comprised of 10k and 5K and 1 Mile Run and Walk. Registration for adults costs $25 each and $15 each for children. A T-shirt memorabilia with printed blank ribbon will be given to participants upon registration. The shirts will be decorated in any way the participants wish to as their means to show honor to survivors of cancer and encouragement to those who are still fighting with it.

Before the event proper, a RibbonFest Health Fair will be conducted. Cancer awareness and education will be highlighted in the gathering. Education booths will be set up to take on different forms of cancer such as lung, breast, ovarian, colon, skin, oral and prostate cancer, as well as tobacco cessation. To keep the participants entertained is the presence of mascots from different organizations in the area. The Giant Colon will also be there to present the difference between a healthy colon and colon with diseases like colitis, Crohn's, colorectal polyps and colorectal cancer.
