Night SkylWith Professor Andrea Dobson At LIGO Hanford Richland, WashingtonOn Friday, August 14, 8:00 in the evening until Saturday, August 15, 1:00 in the morning LIGO Hanford in Richland, Washington is hosting Night Sky, a star gazing and meteor watching event with Whitman College Astronomy Professor Andrea Dobson.

Night Event is for everyone starring the Perseid meteor shower. Look through hosted telescopes from the Tri-City Astronomy Club after Professor Dobson's 8:00 pm auditorium presentation. 

Bring your blankets or folding chairs to glimpse Perseid meteors with the naked eye. This is a fun event for all ages. In addition, you get to enjoy hosted telescope views of the near and far.

Admission is free!

Hubble's Greatest Hits
This year marks the 25th year of the Hubble Space Telescope. With a steady stream of amazingly beautiful images Hubble has had an impressive cultural impact and has produced significant scientific results. Participants will get a chance to take a look at some of Hubble's most iconic images, important scientific discoveries, and the ways in which it has changed our view of the universe. For more information click here.
