On Friday, August 14, 8:00 in the evening until Saturday, August 15, 1:00 in the morning LIGO Hanford in Richland, Washington is hosting Night Sky, a star gazing and meteor watching event with Whitman College Astronomy Professor Andrea Dobson.Â

Night Event is for everyone starring the Perseid meteor shower. Look through hosted telescopes from the Tri-City Astronomy Club after Professor Dobson's 8:00 pm auditorium presentation.Â
Bring your blankets or folding chairs to glimpse Perseid meteors with the naked eye. This is a fun event for all ages. In addition, you get to enjoy hosted telescope views of the near and far.
