This coming Saturday, May 9 the area letter carriers will once again collect food for hungry families and seniors while delivering mail.

Collection bags will be delivered to your mailbox in advance. You can help by filling the bag you receive with nonperishable food and leaving it near your mailbox on Saturday.
Nonperishable food item suggestions include peanut butter, canned tuna, soup, chili, beans, pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, boxed juices, pasta, rice and cereal.
Second Harvest is looking for volunteers to help collect bags in both Spokane and Tri-Cities.
