On Friday, November 28 the fourth Friday of the month, from 3:00 until 5:00 in the afternoon your LIGO host will provide you with a presentation about LIGO and an educational free public drop-in tours where you get a chance to see first-hand the excellent look of their facility located in LIGO Hanford Observatory (west of Richland on Horn Road (Route 10) Richland Washington.
Who can join the LIGO Tours?
Anyone can be a part of the tour. If you want to go in a group, a private weekday or evening tour can be scheduled for a minimum of 15 persons. LIGO regularly offers tours for community groups, astronomy clubs, professional societies and others.
How long does the LIGO Tours take?
LIGO tours usually last about two hours. All ages are welcome. The tour is preferable for middle school age and up.
