cyber security summer camp imageThe Mid-Columbia STEM Education Collaboratory is inviting grades 7 to 12 students to join the Girls and Boys Cyber Security Summer Camp on August 7 until  August 11, 2017. The camp will start at 8:30 a.m., and will be held at Delta High School, at 901 Northgate Dr., Richland, WA. 

Cyber Security Summer Camp: All About Online Ethics

The camp will focus on teaching the students how to observe online precaution. There will be a discussion on passwords, coding, cryptography, and cyphers, as well as topics about cyber threats. The students will also learn about virtual machines, cyber security tools, and basic information about how computer works. The camp will offer hands-on activities for the participants to ensure their capacity to apply what they have learned and to keep their excitement.

The Cyber Security Summer Camp for Girls and Boys event will be led by tech experts from PNNL and some Columbia Basin College students, with the help of some local companies. Don't miss it!
