Tips and Tools for Smart Aging: Mid-Columbia Libraries' Kennewick Branch hosts the following workshops:
- Nutritious Meal Cooking with the Basics for 1 or 2 People on Nov. 1
- Medical Management and Health on Nov. 8
- Paying for Long Term Care and Estate Planning on Nov. 15
- Q & A Panel with All Workshop Presenters on Nov. 29
All workshops are free and begin at 5:30 pm at 1620 S. Union St. in Kennewick.

Recently, one of our children's class had the opportunity to tour the Hanford Site.  Coincidently, the Los Angeles Times was there creating an essay featuring the Manhattan Project National Park.  You can read about the LA Times article and view many photos here.  For more information on touring the Manhattan Project National Historic Park at Hanford Washington, visit the National Park Service's Manhattan Page or NPS's B Reactor Tour Page.
There are still a few openings for the 2016 Citizens Academy hosted by the Richland Police Department. Attached below is the application for the class (PNG image just right mouse click and save to your computer, then print) and it includes all the details. The Academy of Children's Theatre Spectrum on Stage Autism Acting Classes will launch a groundbreaking program for children on the autism spectrum in November. ACT's "Spectrum on Stage" class will be held on Thursdays beginning November 5 and continuing through December 17. The class is available to students eight years old and up. Class size is limited, and a wait-list is anticipated.
