On Wednesday, November 6 at 7:00 in the evening, Dr.David Giblin, Collections Manager of the University of Washington Herbarium will provide historical insights into the original “Flora of the Pacific Northwesthere at the Columbia Basin College (Room TD 439), 2600 N. 20th Ave. in Pasco, Washington.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants: Revising Hitchcock and Cronquist.
Dr Giblin will also be discussing why a new Flora is needed, and provide an overview of the field and herbarium-based work involved in producing the revised “Flora”. Admission is free.
