The Chess Club event at Richland Public Library is open to both kids and adults but children below 8 years old must be accompanied but by a guardian.
Chess is an entertaining and mind-challenging game for all ages. It develops the player's memory and promotes concentration. In the course of playing chess, the person needs to focus to get the main goal and this requires full attention. Also, this game forces the player to make independent decisions.
