Battelle Film Club : coming Friday, October 23 everyone is invited to watch "The Call of Cthulhu/The Whisperer In Darkness" at the Battelle Auditorium, PNNL Campus located at W Avenue and Battelle Boulevard in Richland, Washington. The film showing is part of Battelle Film Club's Fall 2015 film series. Show starts at 7:30 in the evening.

About The Call of Cthulhu/The Whisperer In Darkness
This fantasy, horror, mystery, USA silent with Englisg intertitles, is a 2011 independent film based on the H. P. Lovecraft short story of the same name, directed and produced by Sean Branney, Andrew Leman, and David Robertson and distributed by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. It was shot using Mythoscope blend of vintage and modern filming techniques intended to produce the look of a 1930s-era film. According to the film's website, the filmmakers intended to capture the look of "classic horror films of the 1930s like Dracula, Frankenstein and King Kong".

"The Call of Cthulhu" is a short story by American writer H. P. Lovecraft. Written in the summer of 1926, it was first published in the pulp magazine Weird Tales, in February 1928.
