2nd Sweater Weather: Fashion for the Urban Forest
The event is a yarn inspired tree wrap and art walk through the park. About 20 sweaters, created by fiber artists of all ages and experience levels decorated the tree trunks in the south end of Howard Amon Park.
A guided walking tours is set on Wednesday, October the 21, at 9:00 in the morning. Walkers are invited to meet at the end of Lee Boulevard for this for this moderate one-hour walk.
The project is sponsored by both the Richland Parks and Recreation and the Parks Commission to encourage conversation, community pride, and walk-ability. It’s not too late to participate.
Drop by the Richland Community Center or call the program coordinator at 509-942-7534 or jbrown@ci.richland.wa.us for more information.Â
The tree wraps will be removed on Sunday, November 1.
