A Sweet Treat from Julia Harrison
The presenter of A World of Sweets in Washington State, Julia Harrison, has a degree in Anthropology from Macalester College and another from Macquarie University. She studied for two years at the University College Londaon and currently resides in Seattle. Julia Harrison has conducted a lot of researches as an anthropologist since 2004. Most of these researches focus on sweet foods. Julia also writes a blog which is called "Sweet Travel". The Edible Seattle Magazine has actually featured Julia's Sweet Travel blog. Julia is also the mastermind of the SweetMap website of which objective is to preserve the stories of the sweets industry. In 2013, Julia Harrison formed a "sweets" exhibition for the Wing Luke Museum which was intended to address humanities topics by means of images, illustrations and recordings which are reflected through Asia's sweet treats.
