This coming Saturday, May 9 Agape International mission supports the Run for Rice Race at the Bethel Church, 600 Shockley Road in Richland, Washington. Race check will be on Friday, May 8th from 6:00 to 7:00 in the evening or Saturday, May 9 from 8:00 to 8:45 in the morning. The race begins at 9:00 in the morning on Saturday.

International Migratory Bird Day Toppenish National Wildlife Refuge

On Saturday, May 9 from 9:00 in the morning until 12:00 noon Toppenish National Wildlife Refuge is hosting the International Migratory Bird Day.

This day marks the return of the migratory birds to the Yakima Valley, so come and celebrate with a lot of people! This is your chance to observe netting and banding throughout the morning, take a hay ride, and see live raptors up close!

Run For Ribbons At Howard Amon Park In Richland, Washington

Join the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation in support of local cancer patients and their families at the Run for Ribbons event on Saturday, May 9. There will be a 5K, 10K and 1 mile fun run and walk community event aimed to raise awareness and promote prevention on all forms of cancer.

National Association Of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Food Drive

This coming Saturday, May 9 the area letter carriers will once again collect food for hungry families and seniors while delivering mail.

Details of 23rd Stamp Out Food Drive
Collection bags will be delivered to your mailbox in advance. You can help by filling the bag you receive with nonperishable food and leaving it near your mailbox on Saturday.

Nonperishable food item suggestions include peanut butter, canned tuna, soup, chili, beans, pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, boxed juices, pasta, rice and cereal.

Second Harvest is looking for volunteers to help collect bags in both Spokane and Tri-Cities.
