The Lake Lewis Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute will hold its bi-monthly meeting and program with guest speaker Dr. Stephen P. Reidel. The program is titled "Columbia River Flood Basalts of the Pacific Northwest."

Dr. Reidel has over 40 years research experience in geology of the Pacific Northwest. He received a BS and MS in Geology from the University of Cincinnati and a PhD in Geology from Washington State University.

Space And Science Concert At Richland High Auditorium Richland, WA

On Sunday, January 25 everyone is invited to the music of the spheres as they come to Richland, Washington. Watch the Mid Columbia Symphony perform excerpts from "2001: A Space Odyssey" and The Planets by Gustav Holst. The film score to "2001" features iconic music by Richard Strauss ("Fanfare" from Also Sprach Zarathustra), Johann Strauss II (Blue Danube Waltz) and others.
