New Home Sales Up in Tri Cities WA Compared to National Sales

New home sales are not doing too well nationwide but in Tri Cities Washington things are continuing to look up. During the month of September the amount of new homes sold in the Tri Cities was 80, an 8 percent increase from the previous month’s new homes sold. When compared to the new home sales throughout the nation which only rose 6.6 percent up from the 297,000 new homes sold in August, the Tri Cities is doing well. The average price of these new homes nationwide during the month of September was $257,500 a little higher than the Tri Cities average sale price of $252, 034.

Not only is the Tri Cities doing well in new homes sold from month to month, but they are also being recognized nationally on several “Top 10” lists. Just recently the Tri Cities…

Bethel Church's Fall Frenzy at Marcus Whitman Elementary

For many years now Bethel Church has been holding a Fall Frenzy event towards the end of October at their main Richland campus. Over the past several years though Bethel began to branch out into the community and started holding their annual Fall Frenzy event at area schools. For a few years now, one of those locations has been Marcus Whitman Elementary School in Richland Washington. This year is no different, Fall Frenzy will be held at Marcus Whitman on October 30 from 6:30 to 8:00pm. The Fall Frenzy is similar to a carnival, there will be booths, games, tractor pulls and various events where children and adults can participate and receive goodies! Mid Columbia Ballet's Performance of The Nutcracker

Tickets for the Mid Columbia Ballet’s most popular performance, The Nutcracker will be going on sale November 1!  There will be several showings in December. Showings will be December 10 at 7:00pm, December 11 at 2:00pm and again at 7:00pm, and December 12 at 2:00pm. The McNary Wildlife Refuge offers many events and educational classes for Tri City Washington area residents. These events are free and open to the public unless otherwise stated.

Make a Difference Day
On Saturday, October 23 the wildlife refuge will be holding Make a Difference Day at Goethals Park Nature Playground in Richland Washington. The day will begin at 9:00am and go until 1:00pm. Those who come will be able to participate in planting native plants, building play structures, spreading ground cover, and family fun hands-on activities.

Second Saturday: Wildlife Films
On November 23, Friends of Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuge will be showing wildlife films from 9:00am to 12:00pm. They’ll pop the popcorn while you enjoy the movies!

Tri Cities Annual Wine Festival in Kennewick WA

For 30 years now Kennewick Washington has been home to the annual Tri Cities Wine Festival and this year is no different. Join other wine lovers November 5-6 for a weekend of wining and dining. The festival will take place at the Three Rivers Convention Center.
