EnergySolutions Foundation is accepting application for their tenth grade scholarship. The deadline for the scholarship is Wednesday. In order to be elligible for the scholarship a completed application must be turned in with two letters of recommendation. Foreclosure Auction A man in Florida a few years back, stopped making payments on his home and was foreclosed on. When John King stopped making payments he assumed that was the end of that, but recently he now has collectors after him for $44,000 stemming from the default. Unbeknownst to King when a person is foreclosed on, lenders still have the right to collect their money, lenders can collect by taking wages, tapping bank accounts, and placing liens on other assets help by the debtor. In Florida mortgage holders are permitted to seek a deficiency judgement within five years and, if granted, allowed 20 years to collect. American FlagThis Tuesday, February 2, 2010, the Tri Tech Skills Center will be opening the registration for the 2010-2011 preschool program. Children between the ages of three and five are elligible to be registered; three as of August 31 and potty trained. A $55 fee  must be paid up front, this money is nonrefundable but it will reserve your child's spot and pay for the field trips for the year. The fee as well as current immunization records must be brought to registration. There are two preschool sessions available the first is Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:10-10:05. Columbia Basin College LogoTonight at Columbia Basin College there will be a showing of the film The Price of Pleasure. The film is a mature documentary about the pornography industry and the effect it is having on the American society. After the conclusion of the film the film's narrator, Robert Jensen, will lead a discussion about the industry's racist and sexist practices. Jensen will also look at the effect these things have had on the changes in the American culture. The film will be showing at 6:00 pm in L102 and there is no charge to watch the film and participate in the discussion at Columbia Basin College.
