Kennewick Barnes & Noble Kicking off Summer Reading Program

Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program

On Tuesday June 1 the Kennewick Washington Barnes and Noble will be kicking off their summer reading program, Passport to Summer Reading with The 39 Clues. The storewide summer reading program is for 1st through6th grade students. Each participant need only to read any 8 books of their own choosing, write about their favorite part, bring in their completed page to Barnes & Noble and they will get to choose a free book from a list of titles. Select stores across the country will be visited by various authors Rick Riordan, Gordon Korman, Peter Lerangis, Jude Watson, Patrick Carman, Linda Sue Park, and Margaret Peterson Haddix. The 2010 summer reading program at Barnes & Noble features Scholatsic’s best selling series The 39 Clues. The Passport to Summer Reading passport is available online for download. Barnes & Noble has a Summer Reading website with lists of books students may like to read as well as activities for students such as creating a book, games, music, etc. For more information about Passport to Summer Reading visit the Barnes & Noble website.
