I was at the 2009 Un-Boat Rally, but just watched, I didn’t have a Un-Boat; maybe another time. I have property at the end of Hyde Road, you may have noticed the cabana and picnic area.

My son, grandson and nephews fish the Yakima River at the Hyde Road Launch area but have to cross the private property of Tapteal Greenway to get to a spot they can cast a line. I’m not much of a fisherman but do enjoy the outdoors and bird watching.

As you saw first hand, Public access to the Yakima River at the Hyde Road Boat Launch is being restricted by overgrown brush. I am trying to gain Public Support in requesting the City of Richland and the WA State Dept of Fish and Wildlife to improve the Public Access area at Hyde Road and to cut the over grown brush, but I’m not getting any results. Maybe the Un-Boat Club can help!

Please forward my email to all Un-Boat Fans and ask them to email the City of Richland and the WA State Dept of Fish and Wildlife and request that the Hyde Road Access area be improved. I’ve listed the email addresses and also a picture of the over grown brush.
