The Columbia Basin College Arts Center in Pasco Washington has sent out their fall 2010 calendar of events. There are plenty of things to do and see including art exhibits, plays, concerts, and lectures. All concerts, lectures, and exhibits are free of charge and open to the public.
Art Exhibits
Natalie Niblack’s exhibit, The Omnipresence of Water, is currently being held at CBC in the Esvelt Gallery. Niblack is currently the instructor of painting, drawings, and printmaking instructor at Shoreline Community College as well as the gallery director. Niblack gets her inspiration from dreams, water, religious paintings from the Italian Renaissance and Baroque periods, the nature of drapery, and her desire to explain herself. The exhibit will be open until October 21, Monday – Thursday 8:00am to 8:30pm and Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Music
On Saturday, October 16 there will be a FreeForm vocal jazz performance in the CBC Theatre. The first will be a solo performance at 3:00pm, then there will be an ensemble concert at 7:30pm.
Lectures
Author Richard Rhodes and artist Eric LoPresti will be giving a lecture on Friday, October 8 at 7:00pm in the CBC Theatre.
