Blue Mountain Wildlife Fundraiser in KennewickIf you don’t have anything to do on April 19, head on out to Kennewick Ranch and Home at 845 N. Columbia Center Blvd. for the annual Blue Mountain Wildlife Fundraiser.

Blue Mountain Wildlife
Blue Mountain Wildlife is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose mission is to provide help and take care of orphaned, sick, or injured wildlife. Their focus is on birds of prey, providing these creatures the necessary treatment and care to bring them back to their natural habitat.

Their goals include training volunteers to become experts in rehabilitation techniques, helping enhance awareness and appreciation of wildlife through public education, and providing a facility where concerned people can bring wildlife that need care.

Annual Fundraiser
On April 19, Blue Mountain Wildlife will be holding their annual fundraiser by selling raffle tickets outside the Kennewick Ranch and Home. Some feathered friends will be tagging along with them, including a Red-Tailed Hawk, Peregrine Falcon, Great Horned Own, and a Barn Owl.

You’re not obligated to pay anything to see the birds, but interested ones are encouraged to donate. The raffle tickets cost $20. Prizes include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Falconry field day with a master falconer
  • Falconry hunting trip
  • Falconry and other bird books
  • Assortment of children’s puzzles, books, and toys
  • Happy Canyon tickets
  • So much more

The actual raffle draw will be held at Howard Amon Park on May 10, so keep checking this blog out for more information. You can learn more about this fundraiser by visiting their Facebook page or www.bluemountainwildlife.org.
